lifeGROUPS

Relationships - they are vitally important. Our relationships move us either toward God or away from him. At Life Fellowship, small groups are a huge part of our DNA, because we believe that structured relationships are the key to sustained spiritual growth. lifeGROUPS are places to share the high points and low, the wins and losses of life - because God didn’t create us to do life on our own.
You can check out lifeGROUPS and meet our Leaders at our next Group Link. In the meantime, answers to some of the most frequent questions we hear are below.
WHAT IS A lifeGROUP?
Life Groups are groups of couples, or individuals of the same gender, that meet weekly for fellowship, discussion and prayer. lifeGROUPS are open to anyone - whether you are new in your walk with Christ or not, no matter your age or stage of life. You do not need to be a member of Life Fellowship to be a part of a lifeGROUP.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A lifeGROUP?
lifeGROUPS are as unique as the people who make up the group. There is not a set agenda for all groups - but foundationally, lifeGROUPS focus their discussion time on the previous week’s message. Additionally, groups are welcomed to enhance their group experience by taking “study breaks” to focus on curriculum that is unique to their group, such as a parenting study for couples with small children.
WHEN AND WHERE DO lifeGROUPS MEET?
Our groups meet on any night of the week that’s convenient for the group, and typically meet on that same night each week. Most married groups meet in the evenings, while men’s and women’s groups meet mornings and evenings. Groups typically meet in people’s homes, but the specific location is left up to the group and group leader.
IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED FOR EACH GROUP MEETING?
Childcare is available for groups meeting on Wednesday nights through our lifeNURSERY and lifeKIDS programs. Plus, middle and high school students have a service just for them on Wednesday nights. Groups that meet on nights other than Wednesdays coordinate childcare on a group by group basis.
HOW DO lifeGROUPS FORM?
In January, May and August of each year, we host an event called Group Link, which gives you an opportunity to meet lifeGROUP Leaders as well as other people interested in plugging into a group.
HOW LONG DO lifeGROUPS LAST?
We encourage lifeGROUPS to remain a group for at least 12 months; this allows time for relationships to form and trust to be established. We ask that you give the lifeGROUP at least a month to see if it is a “fit” for you. At that point, if you’d like to find another group to try, no problem! Just let us know and we will work with you.
I’M NEW AND WANT TO CONNECT. SHOULD I JOIN A lifeGROUP OR GO TO A FELLOWSHIP EVENT?
The answer is - yes! Fellowship Events are generally interest-based events which meet once a month, and are a great way to meet people as well as share a common interest. In contrast, lifeGROUPS are small groups of people that meet weekly for fellowship, discussion and prayer. It’s really your choice, but it is our firm belief that every person needs the relationships and connections that are lifeGROUPS.
